Oprah

I have a confession to make.

I'm in LURVE with Patrick Dempsey.

He's just got that smirk that makes me quiver. I've never been one of those rabid fans that slobbers over television stars or shows (well, there was that one guy from "Weird Science" that I used to have a thing for... not Anthony Michael Hall... the other one... Ilan Mitchell Smith... bio added for my sister's amusement...)

I have enjoyed certain shows in the past, but I am over the moon about Grey's Anatomy.

Oh.My.Goodness.

I'm sitting here on the couch watching Oprah interviewing the cast, and I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl. I'm all over this. Loving it. Can't get enough. I want to move to Seattle. I want McDreamy to operate on my brain (well, maybe just remove my tonsils...)

Why does this show affect me like this?

Speaking of Oprah.... I have a bunch of unwatched episodes on DVR. Today I watched the episode from November 21. There was a couple with two young girls who were trying to sell their house. They started a business and maxed out their credit cards and then the woman was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Sad story.

Nate Berkus was dispatched to help spruce up the house to get it in sellable condition. They did some really great stuff. The budget was $10,000.

I kept thinking, all throughout the show, "They're going to surprise this family and tell them that the mortgage is paid and they can stay in the house."

Nope.

I didn't get it. Oprah has the money. Mom's got a BRAIN TUMOR for freak's sake. Can't Oprah spare a little change and help them out a little?

Geesh.

Oh, and I found this on the internet. It's an updated picture of my preteen crush.

I kinda wish I'd quit Googling before I found it.
