Musk and Gingerbread

Lucky me.

Look what I got to do this morning on top of the 6 loads of laundry I have to finish today. (I was in the laundry room when this happened.)

Ah, make that 7 loads of laundry, with the rugs and washcloths used to wipe up this mess.

I hate the "fascination with all things liquid and cream" phase that kids go through. My other 2 kids went through it, too. Now the 4 year-old is in that phase, but now he has a PARTNER.

Ugh.

I came out of the laundry room and heard water running. I looked towards the girls' bathroom and saw a closed door. When I tried to open it, it was locked.

NOT GOOD.

Here's what I saw (imagine one very guilty 2 YO on the stool in front of the sink and one 4 YO boy hiding behind the door):

Towels in the floor from where the kids had tried to start cleaning:

More tub.

And they got the toilet, too. I don't know if they put anything in the toilet, but when I tried to flush it, it was stopped up. Quinn swears he only put soap in it.

Ah, the joys of motherhood.

On the positive side, the bathroom now smells like men's cologne (from the blue shampoo) and gingerbread. Things could be worse.

Oh, wait. They did get worse.

When I came out of the laundry room after putting the dirty rugs and rags in the washing machine, I was greeted by sticky-handed children. Quinn had found a tube of Vaseline ointment and spread it all over Lillian's feet and hands. They were both greasy from the Vaseline.

At least it wasn't diaper cream.

Well, I guess it could be worse. They could have done it Saturday. :-) But, then you woulda had Mom to help. At least, they smell good, and their skin is smooth.
