It's from "Faithfully" by Journey and while it's not about the relationship between a parent and child, I feel like it applies to me lately.

I feel like I've rediscovered my children. I've always been involved in their lives, but I decided to make a conscious effort to interact with them more during our days together this summer. I've fallen in love with my babies all over again. Who couldn't love faces like these?



We've been watching home videos together over the past few days and nights, and I have to admit, there are a lot of those moments I had forgotten. When you're so accustomed to seeing your kids in their present states day after day, it's difficult to remember what they were like when they were younger. That's why I've loved watching the videos. I have been reminded of how awesome my kids are because I see how far they've come since they were tiny and how precious (and unprecocious) they were when they were small.

I love those kiddos. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em.
